We are no longer accepting returns or exchanges for any items purchased after September 1, 2017. If you’re returning an item purchased prior to September 1, 2017 please follow the guidelines below:


  • Items purchased in store can be returned or exchanged in store if the item was purchased prior to September 1, 2017.
  • Items purchased online can be returned online if the item was purchased prior to September 1, 2017.
  • Allow up to ten (10) business days to process refunds (plus shipping time for online returns).

Return Amount and Form

  • Returns with an original receipt will be refunded in the same form as the original purchase was made.
  • Items returned with a gift receipt may be exchanged for other merchandise or a merchandise credit for the same value as stated on the gift receipt.
  • Items without a proof of purchase may be exchanged for other merchandise or a merchandise credit based on the lowest selling price during the six (6) month period prior to the date the item is returned.

Price Adjustments

  • A one-time price adjustment based on North Sails pricing and excluding alternative retailer pricing is permitted if presented within fourteen (14) days of the original purchase.

Other Return/Exchange Policies

  • Items presented for return or exchange must be unworn and unlaundered and accompanied by the original clothing tags.
  • Defective merchandise may be returned or exchanged consistent with overall North Sails policies or as otherwise determined by North Sails management.
  • Online purchases may be returned in stores provided the returned item(s) are accompanied by the original receipt and pre-paid return label.
  • Items purchased from an alternative retailer must be returned to the alternative retailer and are subject to their policies and conditions.
  • North Sails reserves the right to deny any return or exchange in the case of suspected fraud or abuse of its return/exchange policies.

Online Returns

To return an online item, please follow these steps (It’s Free!):
  • Put the item(s) you are returning in the original package, if possible.
  • Indicate the item(s) you are returning and the reason for your return on your original receipt. And include a copy of the original receipt in the return package.
  • Use the separate return label that was enclosed with your order - return postage is free.
  • Drop package at any UPS shipping location.
